The NUI Galway visit the Tynagh Power Plant

The National University of Ireland, Galway, visited the Tynagh Power Plant on the 1st of February 2012. Dr Rory Monaghan had the following to say about the visit:

Tynagh Energy is the perfect example of engineering theory put into practice. My students were delighted to see real-life applications of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering as well as Information Technology so tangibly for the first time. The staff were friendly and highly knowledgeable, answering every question in great detail. It makes a real difference for our students to see projects like Tynagh Energy up close.
