Who is Tynagh Energy Limited?
Tynagh Energy represents a highly skilled collaboration of international and local expertise which came together to build Galway’s first power generating station. Tynagh Energy successfully tendered for a competition in December 2003, run by the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) to design, finance, construct, operate and maintain a 400MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCGT) in east Co. Galway.

Other activities are grouped under EP Power Europe (“EPPE”) and comprise of lignite mining and electricity generation (including related activities) mainly in Slovakia, Germany, Italy, UK and Ireland
Via its stake in Slovenské elektrárne, EPH has also expertise in operation of nuclear power plants
EPH consolidated companies employ over 10,000 employees, and equity consolidated companies employ additional 15,000 employees
Companies operated by EPH generate over 100 TWh of power, which places it as the 6th largest power producer in Europe
